Wayne K. Cheng, M.D. is a prominent, Board Certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic spine surgeon with a record of clinical excellence. He is an Associate Professor and serves as the head of spine, for the department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a Principal Investigator at Loma Linda University Medical Center for clinical trials in spine.

His scope of practice includes treating the entire spine from cervical C-1 thru C-7, thoracic T-1 thru T-12, lumbar L-1 thru L-5, Sacral S1 thru S-5 and the Coccyx (tailbone) as well as trauma.

His clinical specialties are: state-of-the-art spinal technology, complex reconstructive spinal surgery, motion preservation technology/ artificial disc (cervical & lumbar) replacement, dynamic spinal stabilization, minimally invasive spinal surgery, advanced scoliosis treatment, trauma-related spine injury, and spine related clinical research trials and Genetic testing. Dr. Cheng takes pride in solving difficult spinal disorders and doing research to benefit or improve the quality of a patient s life. He enjoys helping patients through surgical, as well as non-surgical treatments, Dr. Cheng was the 1st surgeon in the Inland Empire to perform an Artificial Disc replacement at Multi-levels and this makes him a leader of Disc Arthroplasty for the Southern California Area.

Dr. Cheng's fellowship was a combined Spine and Neurosurgery program at Duke University Medical Center, his Graduating Internship was at the University of Southern California Medical Center department of General Surgery and his Residency was at Martin Luther King, Jr. He started his medical schooling at Loma Linda University, School of Medicine.

His Philosophy:

I BELIEVE WE MUST BE THERE FOR OUR PATIENTS, THEIR FAMILIES AND TO COMMUNICATE WHAT THE TREATMENT OPTIONS ARE AND EXPLANATIONS OF TESTS AND SURGICAL OPTIONS. I WANT TO PRESERVE EACH INDIVIDUAL'S DIGNITY AND TO GAIN HIS OR HER TRUST, I ALSO EMPHASIS ON THE SAFETY OF MY PATIENTS.
